Going Raw Daddy or Inappropriate Feelings About my PDA
I took my HTC Mogul into the Sprint store to get help with a problem I was having getting on the Internet and they just replaced it with a new one.
They claimed I bought the insurance.
Now, I don’t remember purchasing any insurance and the phone (Microsoft’s answer to the IPhone) DID cost $400 so it’s feasible I MIGHT have gone the extra $30 on insurance. Anyways, I wasn’t gonna say no to a new phone.
So after waiting an hour with the kids in the Sprint store out comes my NEW Sprint HTC Mogul. Ooooooooh.
It had a sort of soft glow about it. That may have been the backlight. But for sure, it just had a newness about it.

I get my new phone home… haha phone home, and it’s got that clear protective film over the screen. You know the one that comes on all new stuff now-a-days and you keep it on there for a few minutes or a few hours.
I kept mine on for a few days. I kept it on until the plastic got so grimy I couldn’t see the screen through the grime anymore (all the more reason to keep it on there a part of me thought).
But it was time.
I took off the plastic.
There was my phone. New, innocent, untouched by the filthy hands of man. Vulnerable.
I gently took out the stylus and began to tap the screen. Slowly at first but then with increasing vigor because this moment would never come again. After this my phone would be a woman… Well, it’d still be a phone but work with me.
I added contacts, I surfed the Internet, I downloaded wallpaper and ring tones.
I felt sensuous, decadent, tapping my new phone without protection.
Well, it’s dirty now, like the old phone but at least it gets Internet.
